I read in another forum that Pholy tech AK's have a screw in barrel. Is this true? I never heard that before.

Milled receivers use screw-in barrels, stamped receivers use pressed-in.

Milled receivers use screw-in barrels, stamped receivers use pressed-in.


Chinese PolyTech milled receivers have barrels  pressed in and pinned  just like the stamped receivers.  To my knowledge, only Russian, Polish, and Hungarian milled receivers were threaded.  The Bulgarian milled receivers (Arsenal Inc) are pressed and pinned, too.
