I got my first SKS rifle when they were cheap ($70) or so at gun shows years ago.  I've seen most of the different variations on dust cover scope mounts & most of them don't work well.  I've been looking at AK scopes recently & noticed the side mounts for the SKS & SVDs.  Has anyone here tried adding one?  How did they work if you did?

Excellent question as I just logged on to ask the same thing.  I have the AK mount and it returns to zero so I would love to have something similar for my SKs.

If you want the AK style mount on the SKS your best choice is the Molot rail, here is a thread on it with several good photos.
