Local pawn shop has this unconverted .223 for $350 is that too much now? Can it fire 5.56 NATO?

$350 for an unconverted Saiga sounds way high to me.

Even after converting it with an ergo pistol grip, tapco trigger group, etc, my Saiga .223 still cost under $350.  I can understand that the current import situation has made them a bit more scarce, but I would still draw the line at about $275-$280.
