I want to add a muzzle brake to my SKS. I know you can LH thread it and use an AK brake, but can you use an AR-15 A2 muzzle brake? Any help would be great.

Besides the obvious problem of the AR15 using a .224 diameter bullet and the SKS using a 7.62mm bullet (which is bigger)....

by the time you got done modifying the AR muzzle brake I think you'd have spent a lot more than just using an AK brake

They do have 7.62 and .308 AR's and if you really wanted to you could make it happen. But, as stated before, with what it would take and cost you could just get one that is made for your sks. Unless you just like a challenge, I say why go to the trouble.

Here's mine on my Chinese SKS. Go to ebay and look for a seller selling SKS muzzle brakes for 9.50+2.50 s/h.
