[Last Edit: 2/7/2006 9:45:36 AM EST by SIGthusiast]
I have one of the original SEAKs that is developing some discolorations. The muzzle brake, reciever and several other areas have orange-ish patches forming on them. I believe this was a blue over park finish. Has anyone else experienced this? I've kept her well oiled. I've just never had rust on any of my guns so this has me worried. I'll try to post some pics later, but just wanted some input.

Thanks,

St

Mine had it around the front trunion on the inside of the reciever. I was told this is due to the salts not being flushed out completely. I did the boiling hot water with Dawn dish soap and that seems to have stopped it. Oil will not stop this due to the salts.
You can send it back, but I am too lazy and don't want to risk losing it.

This is one of the original SEAKs. It's way past it's one year warranty, so I'm sure they'd tell me to stick it.
