I found a SAR-2 with no bolt/bolt carrier.  Do I need to find one from a SAR-2 or can I just replace with one from a AK-74?

Thanks

The bolt carriers are a little different between a Romy `74 and a Bulgy `74; mainly the Bulgy has a longer lip on the bottom. I don't know if they will interchange, I haven't tried.

The bolts look identical but I'd go all Romy just to be safe. I think K-var carries everything. I don't know a good way to check headspace either.

EDIT: Well I have some bad news, the Bulgy bolt will NOT work, one lug is too long so it won't close. And K-var doesn't have Romy `74 bolts. This is not a dremel job either.

The only good news is a Bulgy carrier looks like it will work, and both Romy and Bulgy (cheaper) are available.
