Can someone tell me if they still use 74s?   If not, which model now.  Also, what kind of wood/ plastic handgaurds do they use?  Did they ever or still use plum colored?  Do they just use folding stocks?   Thanks all!

The AK-74M is the latest of the 74 series and is still in use along with wood and plum 74s but I do not beleive the wood and plum are produced anymore. The 74M has a side folding stock made from black polymer, black polymer handgaurds and black polymer pistol grip.

All the 74 models, wood, plum, and both with folding stocks are still in service, though the 74M is the current production model.
