Here's another one from the series (an interesting series at that). WTF is he shooting at??!!

Link Posted: 9/1/2005 3:02:27 PM EDT
Kinda looks to me like there IS a G on the rear sight base.
Link Posted: 9/1/2005 4:41:36 PM EDT
Yeah, it looks to me like its there.
Link Posted: 9/1/2005 4:51:11 PM EDT

Tough to say. There could be something there, but theres a ton of random artifacts all over the place as well, so it could just be junk from compression.

It would be cool to have an original.

Damnn you guys have some good eyes, I can't see any stamps!!
Link Posted: 9/1/2005 5:20:33 PM EDT
look how new the weapon looks, not a scratch on it. "Here's a new one for the picture" HAHA

Looks like the G might be there.

And WTF are those candles for?
Link Posted: 9/1/2005 6:15:43 PM EDT
Yeah, I can't see if the G is there or not. I tried a couple photoshop tools and inverted, but as Clange pointed out, way too many JPG compression artifacts. The originals would indeed be really cool to see. The last pic I posted also mysteriously disappeared from the set (maybe a little too un-PC). As for the candles:

"BAGHDAD, IRAQ - SEPTEMBER 1: Iraqi Shiites light candles for victims of a stampede as gunfire erupts on a bridge September 1, 2005 in Baghdad, Iraq. Gunfire erupted as Shiite protesters marched from the holy Shiite city of Kadhimiya towards the mainly Sunni area of Adhamiya on al-Aima Bridge, the site of a deadly stampede that claimed the lives of up to 1000 Iraqi Shiite pilgrims on August 31 in Baghdad, Iraq. Three people were injured in the gunfire."

Feinstein was right, these 'salt weaponz are the weapons of choice for terrorists!

I remember seeing some that looked like that there in 91 and I think they were made there as well.

Romanian receivers actually have a much larger dimple then the OOW and Ewbanks receivers I've had but they still aren't as big or shallow (and thus useless) as the Global 1.0mm.

Here's my Romanian SAR-1:

(the SAR-1's also have the G stamped on the site block, it's just not painted orange)
