OK, first I'll admint I'm not a smart man...
But, I am in the middle of making some bolt cutter
rivet squeezers. I see 3 or 4 distinct designs for the
jaws. Some say not too remove too much metal.
What is the consensus of the best design? I am
doing a Romy, then a Yugo undefolder. And, should
I do a different jaw for the fron hols and a different
for the back holes in the fron trunion?

i agree on that...if your going to do different AK variants

i have a set of the bolt cutter squeezers that do great on the Romanian builds & will do the polish UF trunnions.....have not built a Yugo  yet

A Yugo fixed stock has a rivet down low on the rear trunnion. My 18" bolt cutter rivet squeezers won't quite reach it.
I will be making a 24" bolt cutter smasher soon to cover all bases.
A bolt cutter smasher and Plinker long rivet jig and a AK Builder trigger jig are what I use.

I built a yugo u/f first with my homemade 24" crushers. During the 2nd build ( a Romy G) I had to grind the crushers down even further (thickness wise) in order for the jawls to fit in the BBL rivet area as well as the rear side of the front trunion. So, if you built a romy first I would guess that no other modifications would be in necessary. When I fabricated my newly purchased crushers I merely took a consences of the types that were shown on the forums. Mine have worked flawlessly. Just keep the corners round as opposed to right angles and you should be ok. Also take your time and dont let the metal get too hot during grinding.
