Here's a review of my new SGL-31.94 by Arsenal.  This is the rifle people have been asking Arsenal to build for years.  Check out the video and let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks!

Good review, I like the winter camo shooting at the end too, for some reason that really did it for me.

Looks to me like they use the 5.5mm modern pin, you can tell by looking at the cutout in the hinge sleeve where the pin secures the stock. That and the new buttstock that has the recoil pad strap slot or cutout, I haven't seen any 4.5mm versions of that.

Thanks, I'm glad you like it.  The camo is called "Klyaksa Suit" and is a Russian issued camo system that you can find for sale on various websites.  I tossed it on to help contrast the rifle against my black winter coat.  With the white snow and my black coat the camera was freaking out trying to set its white balance.  So the camo jacket made the rifle the only black object in the scene so it stood out.

I have a couple of SLR 106 FRs folders and they are awesome.  One is plastic and one steel.  I wish they made a SGL in 5.56.  I had an Saiga converted, but no folding stock.  I may have to break down and pick up a 31.

Excellent video, thanks!   Its hard to find a straight up,  no-BS review on youtube these days.

This is the rifle I want next.  And that overjacket too.

I'm digging to find the scratch for that metal side folder.  Wow, that's a beauty!  I was so torn between the two.

Glad you like the review, thanks for the great service.

I have an SLR 106 with a solid side folder.

Does anyone know if the solid folder on an SLR 106 would be inter-changeable with the SGL 31 metal side folder?

I was thinking of getting the SGL 31 with the metal folder and changing them between the two.

Probably not.  I think the bulgies used a 4.5 mm pin and the russkies use a 5.5 mm pin.

SLR106 uses the older Russian/Bulgarian 4.5mm trunnion hardware, the SGL31 is the newer Russian 5.5mm hardware so they are not interchangeable.
