I want to replace my top cover for various reasons, but it isn't obvious on how to remove the old cover.  Do I drill out that pin holding it in?  Is it a compression fit?

If you want to sell that old top cover let me know, I need the hinge piece from the front of one for a custom cover I am making.  If you dont want to use a pressed pin to hold your new one in you can do what I did. I used a pin of the correct diameter and grooved the ends for e clips. This makes your cover easily removable.

Good idea 1900 (too lazy to type it all out).  And I will sell it to you when I get the new style top cover from KVAR.  Lets take the rest of this to IM.

its not press fit
the ends are crushed like the tg pin
most the time you can just punch it out
if not dont drill in more than 1/8 you dont want to open that hole
