I ordered ten inexpensive used Romanian magazines.

They arrived. Some were just scratched up a bit, but a couple had a light coating of rust starting up...

I'm thinking of just sanding all down to the metal and putting a coat of RustOLeum black paint on them.

Is there a better way?

Also, I noticed on one that the spring seem light on the first 5 or so rounds..maybe too light..is there a way to give the spring new life or get a new spring...

I only paid $5.95 a piece for them....so it ain't like I over-invested.
