So how exactly do I go about mounting a phantom QD flash hider on a WASR-10 AKM?

I'm aware of thread concentricity issues, so I'm concerned about what the proper way to mount this thing is. There is little to no literature for this process outside of forums online.

There is no detent slot for the front sight block pin to lock into the flash hider. Do I need to take it to a gun smith to have one milled? Or can I just torque it down?

Are there any cheap and easy ways to test alignment at home?

Thanks in advance.

Clean the threads and degrease them. Put a drop of rocksett on the threads then torque the muzzle device down.   That way it will stay in place when you remove the suppressor.

That's what I did, but there's no way for it to lock into the front sight base pin.

It doesn't matter. The pin doesn't really serve any purpose when you torque the muzzle device down.

I put a phantom qd flash hider on my Draco and did what was suggested. Has held up fine.

To make sure everything lined up and I wouldn't get baffle strikes I got a straight wooden dowel rod slightly smaller than the bore and put it down through the suppressor into the barrel.

Then I held my breath and crossed my fingers the first time I shot it. No issues. It's way over gassed though and still very loud obviously. I rarely shoot it suppressed.
