Hi, Can anyone tell me anything about this version of Bulgarian AK ?  Would the stock be easy to convert, and also how does is rate compared to a MAK 90 or maybe a Century polish milled?  Seems like a good price for chrome barrel & bulgarian receiver. Sorry, don't know how to make the link hot.

Looks like it will take normal stock sets. You would just have to make it 922 compliant.

Factory built rifles from ISD of Bulgaria.  They come in as single stackers that can be opened up to take double stacked mags.  Centerfire sells both versions.

Previous threads, most of the discussion pertains to the single stack rifle, but the overall rifle is the same:

i believe that they have a wierd plate on the rear trunion that has to be removed for a standard stock to slide in.

Thank's for the links Liquidmetal, what do you guys think about it compared to the other two rifles I mentioned?  This would be my first AK, I was pretty dead set on the Century 1960 polish milled as I love the classic look of it just not sure if its worth the coin?

personally, i'd go with the bulgy or the mak. both have factory receivers and are known for great quality. for the money the bulgy would be a good learning experience to get your feet wet in the AK platform w/ the minor mods needed. plenty of KY members to lend you hand if you get stuck during the conversion.

I converted 2 of them. One I havent fired yet, the other has about 800 rounds through it and it has been flawless so far.

Not really scared to attempt the conversion, just trying to weigh out the money difference after adding the required compliance parts. Assuming I need US wood, it could get expensive real quick. I really don't care for any of the compliant pistol grips at all
