I came into one of the old B-West guns in pretty nice shape. What I'd like to do is drill it out, heat-treat the receiver and reassemble it. Does anyone have any idea what steel these were made of? What would the proper heat-treat regimen be, and would I have a hope in hell of getting that gorgeous bluing back afterwards? Thanks in advance.
