I may have to unload an early Norinco, Clayco-imported Ling Hua manufactured fixed stock AK in at least 95% condition. 4 30-rd mags, modified E.G. bayonet and scabbard, aftermarket browning-style F.S. , OEM slant brake, buttstock cleaning kit, sling, Chicom green 3-mag chest harness, and mag loader. What should I ask? If this is in the wrong forum, I apologize.

Boy, good question after the ban has ended, I would suppose some drop in value, they were about 800, but its still chinese, and not importable, so depending on who wants it, it may vary.

I guess watch Gunbroker or Auction Arms and see what there going for.

I assume it is like the first one on this page. It would acutally be worth more, if it was unmolsted. In my AO somewhere in the $600-750 range. Again demand on these has tapered off since so many replacement guns have become available, it would be more of a collectors piece.

It is exactly like the one pictured. Yeah, I know the value's in flux, and you are right in that a collector would be the best target buyer. Still, as said, no more are being imported. If Kerry wins, another Ban may soon be in the offing...

Yes, again you are correct, but people are buying underfolders for $499!...& 5.45 is hot! I personally love the chinese guns,(Thats why I created that website) but people aren't buying them right now like they were this time last year. They can get a MAK90, 922r it and have less than $475 in it. It seems to be the ol' supply and demand thing......

in my area, the asking price for the rig you describe would be near one grand.

after the laughter died down, an offer of $600 would be put out and final handshake might occur at $700-800 depending upon if the seller had a cute kid sister in need of a date.

...this time last year it wouldn't have lasted 30 minutes at that price.... who know 3 months from now it could be considered a steal!

Personally I would love to have your Chinese gun. I would put the import date of late '84 or early 85.

Well, thanks, all, for the replies. I hope to not have to sell this thing. Maybe I'll wait until after the election and decide then. If I do decide to sell, I'll post a note here as a heads-up first.

You better check the law before you go converting the Maks, they were sporterized to allow importation, and never were offered in a pre ban configuration, so just like a pre ban Romak, you cant be putting underfolders on them, unless you never want it to see daylight.
