I just happened to recieve an AIM surplus sales flyer in the U.S. mail today which had the Polish AK-47 30rnd synthetic mags.

New Cond. $14.95ea
10@ $12.95ea
50@ $11.00ea

and they also had Exellent to Like New Cond Polish Steel 30 rnd AK mags for $6.95

That is probably why they weren't hot-linked. Cut and paste, and it works, thats how I did it when he first posted, and I just double checked to make sure.

I debated hot-linking them myself, but figured Belloc had enough posts to his credit that he would know how, and therefore wouldn't for a good reason.

Yep. For whatever reason hot-linking just does not work. I'm sure it's because Webshots wants it that way.
