I don't have a preference. The point of the question was to solicit opinions based on other people's experiences with different types of slings. I'm not interested in any particular sling, because I don't know what options are out there.

Didn't come with an original Romanian sling? I liked the Romy green sling on mine. Any sling will do otherwise.

I bought a UTG sling at a gun show for $14. It is slightly rubberized so it dosen't slide around a lot.

I like the leather sling that comes with the WASR. Works well enough as a carry strap. I put some leather conditioner on mine so it wasn't so dry.

Cheaper than dirt
I got this sling on mine, I like it a lot this sling really gives it and old look and for the price you cant go wrong You have to cut it a bit to make it fit on most AK variants |
