Can someone help me wtih US parts count for a stamped AK build? I was thinking 5 parts but it has been awhile.

The 16 countable parts in a AK with a muzzle device.

(1) Receiver
(2) Barrel
(3) Trunnion
(4) Muzzle attachments
(5) Bolt
(6) Bolt carrier
(7) Gas piston
(8) Trigger
(9) Hammer
(10) Disconnecter
(11) Buttstock
(12) Pistol grip
(13) Forearm handguards
(14) Magazine body
(15) Follower
(16) Floorplate

you need 5 without a muzzle device, 6 with a muzzle device.

Federal regulation limits the countable imported parts off the list above to no more than ten.

Another question does anyone make a slant brake for lefties?

Huh? The slant in the brake has to do with the force necessary to counteract the recoil and ejection of the 7.62x39 (or other) round...

Did you somehow build an AK that ejects out the LEFT side of the gun that you have a different recoil and torue pattern you need to over come? If not, you want a slant brake like the rest of us use...

When I fire a slant brake AK it seems to more off target to the left considerably. I assumed that if I reversed the slant causing the rifle to recoil toward the right I might be easier for me to stay on target.
