Picked up an AK-E recently and tested different mags when i got it home. I found that among a few others (Korean 40s, Shitty non-reinforced Radom polymers) Bulgy Waffles didn't fit. This brought great disappointment and shame upon my house.
This, however, may return my house to its former glory. PSA may yet know the way broadly. |

I’m in for both types. Can never have too many!
Is there something you guys won’t try to make at this point? |
|
@palmettostatearmory Are they steel reinforced down the front/back?
5.45 mags too?? |

These would go perfect with my AK-104 SBR. I regret not the Polish ones years ago and do not want to miss the boat on these. At $20 price point these are a homerun if the quality is there.

The mags look solid and hopefully have the metal reinforcement. Palmetto State Armory is taking the market by storm with all of their new offerings. 2020 is going to be an exciting year for the PSA lineup.

Considering the varied color offerings for their AK-V/Scorpion mags I would hope we see the same for these.
I would LOVE a smoke/clear mag for my Ak's as well as slum orange/bakelite and plum offerings. SUPER cool stuff PSA. |

Love all the AK stuff yall are doing PSA. Keep up the good work

I love the amount of AK love you guys are doing. Thank you can’t wait to pic up some mags

Looks great! I’m nitpicking but it would be nice if the slab side texture was a bit smoother like the Russian mags.
And for 5.45, 60rnd coffin mag clones would be fantastic |

Should have started with the 5.45 mags. If they are as good as we hope, they would sell out for months.

We are only going to be focusing on 30 and 40rd mags. Thanks, Josiah I'd much rather have a 20rd than 40rd personally. I understand 40rd for an RPK, but that's about it. |

If all of this (AK variants and mags) come to fruition and are problem-free, PSA is going to rule the domestic AK realm!

Although I would primarily buy 30-round mags, I would buy more 20s than 40s if they were available. 40-round mags in 7.62x39 get to be pretty unwieldy. 20-round mags are very useful for bench shooting, for "truck use," and when folded, ready for deployment in a carry bag to make the AK more compact. Having said that, I'd like to have all three sizes. |

Are the locking lugs solid steel, like the ((10)) mags, or steel reinforced like the Bulgarian commercial mags? Why not post a picture of the locking lugs and feed lips?

I get it though, there are probably a lot more 3-Gun folks out there looking for 40 rounders than us weirdos looking for 20's. Fish where the fish are and all... I'm just looking forward to seeing what PSA comes up with. I have a buddy in Columbia, SC who turned me on to them early on. It's been fun to watch them grow over the years. Lately they are just kicking @$$ and taking names! |

View Quote Based on the OP "They stay true to the original design with steel reinforced front tab, feed lips and locking lug." sounds like they already have it worked out. The question is what "original design" is he referring too. Bulgarian ((10)) and Bulgarian commercial mags vary greatly in design/durability....it's really not that hard of a question to answer. |
