If you have purchased a new Saiga 12 out of the recent shippment, it might be a good idea to measure the barrel to see if it is long enough to be legal. Several have been reported to have been imported with short barrels.

It's true. Tony Rumore is doing a ton of the conversions, and he's my source.

However, he says the BATF is issuing a letter giving a specific amount of time to modify said guns into legality.

Oh.......it's true. I have one in my shop disassembled right now ready to "fix". Barrel measures 17.187" ~ 17.200" long (tape measure) with choke unscrewed.

So it just asks for the tactical fh to be perm attached, not a problem. Plenty of 12ga ammo around
