well it isn't a AK....but it is a firearm. picked it up from Frank at the Berea show, a NORINCO copy of the M1897 "trench" gun. this baby is nice....smooth action, bluing is nicely done, and the wood walnut furniture is superb. even has US and fake ordnance bomb stamped near the ejector port. and just like the original..no disconnector...just keep the trigger press and work the pump real fast, and you can play Sgt York
the importer name is laser etched on the barrel in small letters, on the other side it says NORINCO 97, caliber on top of the barrel. the receiver is clean on both sides, except for the ordnance bomb and US. on the bottom it says made in china....and the serial number is stamped in the front edge of the receiver.
I went around the show to get her right
picked up a brand new repo of the M1903/M1917 Springfield leather sling in one building. and in the other building a REMINGTON P17 bayonet with leather scabbard, dated 1917. damn thing is long 17 inches.... total cost to dress her up, including gun, 479 bucks.....which beats the hell of a real one for 1500+ dollars.
cleaned her up and she'll be going to the range tomorrow.... I'll give you a update on how she shoots...I foresee no problems, picked up a box of target shells.
