Hello all.
I have that little piece, came with my Norinco .I was told that this part is bayonet  bracket, and it is very valuable.
Please let me know if there is any truth to it, or may be it is another urban legend?

It's a Chinese paper clip!

It looks like a belt hanger.  It has nothing to do with the rifle and I doubt anybody is really looking for one.

Yes, those are kind of a big deal.  Most guys into the Kalashnikov bayonets hope to come across one as it goes to the Chinese Type II style bayonets.

There's a few different variations of those but they're mostly the same.  Here's some photos of where that little clip goes:






You could probably get a nice little chunk of money selling it - there's always several out there that need one.
