The AA-OK parts site list that their E.German
bolt parts (extractor & firing pin) will fit "most Valmet & Chinese" .223's bolts.
I want spare parts for my NHM-90 in .223, so I called to verify. Tony at AA-OK was very polite, but could not confirm if the parts would fit. Does anyone here know???
I also emailed Troy@Inrange. He did not have any Chinese parts, but did not answer my E.German/Chinese compatibility. Help Please.
Thanks.

Thanks, Jeepcreep. No luck at Polytech either.
Anyone else? TIA

Texas14, I wouldn't venture a guess in regard to the compatability of the E. German bolt parts. I'd have to refer you to a particulr thread on a particular site I'd rather not promote. If you're familiar with a poster who goes by Ekie, this may be of interest:

"The Norinco .223 is simply put a .223 AK47 on a sheet metal receiver. To say that this rifle is designed for .223 is a bit of an overstatement. It's a conversion in the simplest terms. Others have noted parts changes that I have not. I have had complete success exchanging action springs between 7.62 and .223 version. I have tried different gas pistons also with no ill effect. The above mentioned examples may have had different parts, but they are interchangeable. AA-OK even states in their catalog that a 7.62 extractor will work in the .223 model." ~11-08-01~

Perhaps he could offer more now, he seems to be a regular on the boards who's opinion/knowledge is generally held in high regard. Hope this is of some assistance.
