Here are some pics of my kobra from East Wave Products and I was wanting to know if it is real or fake. I was told this is the standard issue and it uses CR2 3V batteries.

I would say that it is legit. The strongest evidence is the correct adjust screw covers and the brass inserts in the clamp portion of the mount.

There is an old guide floating around that says the "Made in Russia" stamp is only found on fakes but that is not true. Also, the included tool and case would indicate that this is the real deal.

Is the manual hand stamped by an inspector?

If that thing is fake, its a good one. However, mine did not have the "Made in Russia" marking.

The "made in Russia" stamp is somewhat suspect, but the brass insert for the mount suggests you have a legit Kobra. Enjoy!
