I live in a state that still has the 1994 AWB.  

If I buy a AK that was owned before 1994 than is it possible to put a folding stock, threaded barrel, etc?

Example if a MAK90 was owned in 1991 than that would make it pre-1994 AWB.  So I would still need American compliance parts, but I could put a folding stock on it.  Correct?

Thank you very much.  I just need some clarification before I buy a rifle.

Well was it possible before 1994 for a post-1989 rifle to have evil features if it complied with the US parts count?
