I need a pistol grip for my AIMS-74 project. Does anyone make a US version that looks like the Romanian part?

If you need a few parts in order to use your favorite PG try using USA (FSE) floor plates and followers. They cost $1.50 a pair and change out in 30 seconds. 7.62 cal.

Man, I wish K-var or Global would snatch up that damn pistol grip mold and funky red bakelite stuff, the black US grips just don't cut it. I've got all the stuff to do an AIMS-74 conversion on my CUR2 but it looks like I'll be using a US made laminate grip. A guy on another forum mentioned trying to make some AK74 followers awhile back, think he posts here too, I'll go check his thread and see if there's been any progress. The AIMS-74 in the "folded folder pic thread" appears to have a bakelite upper handguard, might be a cool look with the matching pistol grip.

Anybody tried the Robarms 5.56 followers in their 5.45? Thought modified mags had to still run in the original firearm?

I've used the Century converted SAR3 bakelite's in my rifle but they don't have US made followers...

I plan on running the bakelite upper handguard to stay authentic so I really would like to find a matching US pistol grip since I, too, think the black isn't going to get it.

Just replace floorplates and followers if at all possible. Bakelite isn't the easiest thing to make considering what it is, and how it is molded. It's a pretty involved process and is not like molding plastics at all.

I wish someone would make followers and floorplates for the 5.45 mags. This part count crap is so ridiculous.

I'm using floorplates.

They change easy, only problem is if you have a lot of mags.... Also, my Polish synthetic mag has a different floorplate and follower, but its ok since it sucks balls and I never use it anyway. Its the only mag that I've ever had a jam or fail to feed from.

I have 2 followers but dont know how/havent taken the time to look on how to change them. It looked more involved than floorplates though.
