Ok, I know the pics suck but I thought I would share them anyway. The lighting was poor.

The gun is actually a SAR3 with a EG bakelight mag with an american follower/mag plate....

Beautiful work.  Where did you get the furniture?

Hey thanks- I have posted the gun many times as a SAR3 but I recently added the grip once I got the mag plate/follower and couldnt believe how authentic it looked.

I got the furniture from www.rusmilitary.com

Very nice; very, very nice. All it needs now is a third pattern bayonet, a cotton web sling and either a Russian Tropical Hat #1, or a Russian Tropical Hat #2.

Since some "Model 01" owners wear steel pot helmets when shooting, you could wear those, just to be "in the role"

I know, I'm stupid; and I wear a genuine WW2 era M1 steel helmet when I shoot my Garand.

Nice.  You look ready to stick it to the Mujahadeen with that thing.

Oh the irony of history.

Grasshopper sold the follower and mag base plate on the EE about 2 months ago. I bought 3 sets.

Very nice! Taste comes to mind. SAR3 or SAR2 the ammo looks to be 5.45?

The rifle is a SAR3- the ammo is 5.45x39 though. Thx for the compliment about taste. I like to have my rifles tastefully done. It isnt the cheapeast way to go about it but it is the most satisfying
