Which is more comfortable to shoot and why? I decided that a 74 brake won't look right on my rifle.

third option - Chinese Type 84 flash hider bored out to .30.  TAPCO makes $14 replica.

It that works as well as Tapcos version of the 74 style brake then I'd venture to say it's not worth the $14

Apparently,Arsenal Bulgarians think it is a useful feature as it is stock on their RPK-74s.

I perfer the 74 style brake I have an UF.  my buddy has the tapco flash hider and it doesnt look bad as well.
