Looks like PPS43 mags.  No "wings" on the sides like the PPSh41 stick mags.

Is this something you could possibly build to order or have in stock in the future?  That would be very fun.

Also, what do you mean about the recoil?  Should be really light I would think.

Why don't you go ahead and make a drum mag, and we'll call it a Bizon?

What about notching the receiver so it can accept Suomi drums? Another idea is to make it in 7.62x25 and notch the receiver to accept PPsh drums.
Both ideas would rock.

Okay, here are some specs:

Suomi 9mm barrel
Modified PPSH41 mag
Modified 74 trunion
Modified recoil guide rod with extra spring inside
Highly modified bolt and carrier
Modified OOW reciever
RSA trigger group
Highly modified Krinkov top cover
74 front sight base

The PPSH41 mag is what we had on had at the time. It is a bit long front to back, but works fine. I changed the operating system from gas to direct blow back. The bolt had to be pinned to the rear of the carrier.

Had to make sleeves for the tunion end, rear sight block and handgaurd retainer. I didn't sleeve the front sight and it came back to haunt me. With the pins being in the bottom, it drew the front of the sight down. It fit tight in the rear and a bit loose in the front due to the taper of the barrel. This has caused it to shoot about 1 foot high with the iron sights. It does, however, shoot minute of pop can out to 100 yards with the red dot.

As for reliability, after I got all the bugs out, over 600 rds, so far. Every once in a while it will fail to chamber. This happens so little, maybe 10 times out of the 600 rds, I'm not worried about it. I have shot everything from Wolf to +P through it, it ate them all.

Funny you guys should mention drums and 7.62x25. I started the 7.62x25 yesterday. Think I'm going to call it "The Midnight Toker", after the round, Tokarov, of course The drums have always been in the back of my mind. Maybe when Rod gets some time on the CNC.............

We are wanting to start making them for you guys, they will be debugged, of course. I'm going to make a few changes on the 7.62x25 and see where that leaves us. I'm going to use a standard 74 rear sight base and top cover with HK sight.

Thanks for all the comments! Off to the playland to play, er I mean shop and work, Todd.

Mike

9mm seems nice but 7.62x25 would be even cooler.
