Does any one know where to find these items? Found 2 bayonets last week in AZ. Guy wanted 200.00 each for them.  I am trying to finish off 2 very early maddi ARM'S. Serial number 29 and 38. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Guy at the Indy show has the Black Egyptian grips  $5 ea but the brown are scarce.

It is a Styer underfolder, serial number 38 .All matching parts,Maadi logo, egyptian crest, complete with arabic on left side of trunion.Any one know how many of the underfolders made it in before batf stopped them? I've never heard that Styer imported any underfolders.

According to two of the books i have, the first 1500 rifles imported by Styer were recalled by batf for "adjustment" when it was found that the only thing that was missing was the auto sear and pin. All other parts were original, unmodified configuration. Styer had to grind the bolt carriers and selectors and send them back to customers that had already purchased the weapons as well as correct the remaining ones in stock. Of this 1500, approximately 200 were underfolders of the russian pattern. these weapons can be IDed by arabic inscriptions according to legend. After reading and hearing about this for years i found one in a local gun shop and bought it . I dont know if the story is true but it is a very nice gun and the price was right.If anyone can shed light on this stoy, please do so . I can only verify in print the part about the recall and that some were indeed underfolders. The rest is just good gunshop legend.

The Egyptians never made any underfolders period.. Since the begining, they have made side folders.. There were about 20 of these imported by a smaller importer during the early 80s.

Where are you reading this?  I'm kind of a Maadi fan and I've never heard anything about underfolders, ever.   Got pics?  Not saying you're wrong, but...

Im not saying joe is correct just that he has printed it.I'm only stating what i have heard and read and have in my safe. Joe Poyer's book is about the worst out there.. The guy cant even find an AK with rivits to use for photographs.. You are going to trust him with new and unique info?

The book seems like it was written by someone that only had basic knowledge of the subject, and basically just copied/made stuff up for the rest.
