Use an old drill bit dremelled to the right length for the U/F pin and you can order a rivot through AK-Builder.com if you want.

A 16 penny finish nail fits perfect for the piston.

+1 My last build I didn't install a rivet. The new piston threaded in so tight I decided not to rivet it. I have checked it for looseness and it remains tight. I think that it will be okay since my build is a semi-auto. For an autobuild it would definately have a rivet. my 2's worth |
