How hard is it to build one? I know there easy to diss and ass but I'd like to know do you need any special tools to do the job? Also where is a good place to buy a kit?

Try any of the forum sponsors for a kit.  I suggest lots of reading and research before making your purchase.  There are a ton of different ways to do just about every step so search around and figure out what you feel comfortable with.  Here is a step by step write up of how to do everything. It covers tools needed and how to make them as well.

Not too hard for the experienced mechanic, But not a job for the average guy.
It does require more skill than building an AR15,
Rivet setting requires some practice (You can always use machine screws), Using  a machine press also requires practice.

No, you can't. Because after your family hears about what you can do, you'll be swamped with  birthday and Christmas gift requests. Every weekend someone will be waiting at your door with a receiver, parts kit, and sheepish look on their faces.

That's funny...funny and very true.

I resembled the ”parts kit, and sheepish look on their faces” when I showed up to my first build party.  The Colorado group I hooked up with were all great guys and helpful.  Willeyswagon, stoner63a, and LonghunterCO were the key for me in being able to build one out.

What makes it so funny now is that I see the look on some new faces

Gotta agree with that.
