Has anyone tried this?  I was thinking it might look pretty good and protect the stock from getting finish worn off.  My UF kit butt plate is pretty much down to bare metal.  Just a thought, chime in!

Hmmm... might not look so good on an underfolder but I bet it would be durable.  Not a bad idea for using on a fixed stock butt plate though.  It'd probably give a little traction too.

The thickness of it may keep you from folding it. Not to mention that it is usually used on more curved surfaces and may not adhere well to sharp edges.

I would be afraid of using that stuff if you shoot sometimes with nicer clothing on.  I've found herculiner (similar to Line-X I'm assuming) will grab at fabrics and pull threads out.  It's a little too rough for something like an UF stock, IMO.
