I am getting ready to purchase an Ironwood stock and would like to see some of the finished projects...  It's time to show off your work!!!

Also, are they marked anywhere "made in USA" or something like that to identify them?

I have a SA85-M that has an old FSE Walnut stock on it.  It looks ok, but the buttstock needs to be replaced (its broken and I dont like the recoil pad).  I am either looking to replace the entire stock set or just the butt with IWD's products.  What do you think?  If I replace the entire set, I'd be open for pictures and suggestions...

My only rifle with Ironwood furniture is my SSR-85 with Beech wood.  I kept it simple, 5 or 6 applications of BLO:

My Ironwood laminated on a Bulgarian AK-74 kit build.

The Russian Red color is Tandy water-based leather dye using a mix of Red, Yellow, and Cordovan.
Finish is Minwax satin polyurethane.

Ironwood Walnut with 1 coat of Minwax Red Cedar stain followed by 25-30 coats of Formsbys tung oil on my NHM-90.
Here it is with the Hogue grip on(which is the best grip IMO)

And here it is with the wood grip

And all of the wood finished, prior to assembly

And a close up of the foregrip which had some "fiddlebacking"

I was on the fence about getting the fitted butt pad because I don't really like the looks of it but it does add some length to the stock which is why I ended up giong with it.

I also refinished my brothers WASR for him and made a thread about finishing the wood Here

If I remember correctly my stock was marked with a "IW" or "IWD" under the butt pad area but that is the only markings that I saw.

I really need to get some better pics in the sunlight to really show the grain and highlights in the wood.

I also have a SA85M that I de-banned and put an Ironwood Beech Stock set onto. Unfortunately it's not here right now (barrel being threaded for brake) but I will see if I can dig up some pictures.

Edit- Unfortunately I dont have any pics and the gun is at the gunsmiths right now

I'm too picky. I want the Ironwood black laminate sooooo bad but I also want it in Warsaw length with a trapdoor. :(

Since when does Ironwood offer black laminate?

You sure your not talking about the Tapco wood?

In that case, the trapdoor is a possibility

I added it to my Tapco stock on my custom AK45R build

Yay, another thread to uselessly whore her out in.
IWD Hard Rock Maple, Watco Danish Oil - Natural. Mak-90 Milled.
Going to say...around 12 coats. The first two days I did 4 or so applications back to back with 45min-1hour dry times. After that, it was 24 hours between each coat.

Besides penciled in names and identification keywords, the only other markings is the IWD stamped into the back of the stock.

Here's my IWD stock set.  I believe it has a hardwood birch buttstock and beechwood handguards, with Tung Oil and Shellac.

Only the buttstock is Ironwood.  Rest of it is original Russian wood.
