Hi all...I found a pin on type muzzle brake the other day for 14 bucks so I bought it with the intent of trying to jerry rig (no offense to those named jerry  he
My only remaining problem is removing the forward front sight pin to replace it with the longer one that came with the brake.  I did some initial "tapping" on it with a hammer and small pin type punch but that bad boy didn't move a bit.  

So.....how do you get that front sight pin out?  hinking.gif    Was I just not hitting it hard enough or what?  I was afraid I might hurt something so I didn't put much muscle behind it.

Any thoughts would be great!

Hit it on the left side. I beat on mine to death, until it was all peened, didnt move at all. Only option left is to have someone drill it out.

Try tapping from the bolt handle side.  Also, you may need a little penetrant on the pin, but it should come out.  Use a metal punch and smack it good.

I threaded my SAR's but one of them they welded the FSB pins, don't ask me why.

If you can get your hands on an H press for a few minutes it will pop faster and do less damage. Get a small torx bit to push it through.
