I'm building some AMD65's... since you silver-solder or weld the muzzle attachment on permanently, should you put the spring and the detent in first, or store them away for other guns that can actually use them (like my WASR that doesn't have one)?

i put it in just so it looks like nothing is missing. no use for it being there. i think it would look weird left out.

I removed mine... I needed it for my SAR-1 anyways so I recycled it. If the pin comes out with ease I will save the parts but I tend to do that kind off stuff

Also, fighting with that pin when you have the thing heated to 1100+ and trying to screw on a new muzzle devise might be more of a PITA then it is worth... does your new extended break have recess thet the detent will want to drop in... then I would really remove it... if not, then it is personal choice...
