OK, a strange question, but I was thinking about this last night when putting U.S. made floorplates on my magazines.

A drum does not have a floorplate, only a body and a follower...right?  So does that mean with one less part you would only need 4 U.S. parts to meet the count (sans flash hider) or 5 with a flash hider?  Am I all off on this?  Or does the back of the drum coutn as the floorplate?

And while I am at it, how would people feel about a U.S. made follower for a drum magazine?  i have some ideas how to make them, assuming I get a chance to work on it...

To make it more clear, count the number of countable imported parts. The regulations allow no more than ten.

You are correct in assuming the RPK drum does not contain a floorplate, therefore there is one less importable part you have to count.

Could you please tell me where I can get some U.S. made floorplates?

Thanks

Edit.  I forgot about the search option and found out where to get some.
