Are there ways to improve the accuracy of the AK front sight post?  Does it make sense to thin the post and bring the top to a point? (I heard someone mention that.)  Any other changes to the front sight post to improve accuracy at 100 and 200 yds?  Thank you.

I took a small file to mine, basically made it look an AR15 front sight post.

I like it much better this way, its much easier to hit small targets. Next thing would be to get a peep sight from either Krebs or Red Star Arms.

A peep sight (like Krebs) mounted at the rear of the top cover does wonders for sighting accuracy and quickness.
