O.K.
First prob. Is the shep hook supposed to be wedged into the spring on the hammer?...That thing is just not slipping much more forward, and Im haveing a hard time getting to it with my Letherman. 20:29:05 |

O.K. all parts out as of this time, I have cleaned them and am looking at the wear.
The Shep. hook was wedged in between the springs pretty well on the hammer, I took the little punch that comes with the cleaning kit and kinda did my best to pry it out without wrecking it.(Im not looking forward to putting this thing back.) time now is 20:44:36 Im going to eat dinner and begin the grinding for the mod on the slap. |

O-brother...I just finished dinner and now I have decided to read a little more of Linx's instructions on putting it back together...but as I get to the end, he says if you are this far you may as well polish the FCG...so now Im going to read that part and add this to my list....I was shooting to have all of this done in a little over a hour, but now I will be reading and adding to the above list.
So far the instructions seem pretty simple and I dont feel like a moron (yet) Time now 21:07:38....Im going to have a smoke and get the rotery tool ready. |

I have found my D-Tool and all of the parts (a cool mastercut took accessory set from last christmas) Im gong to start cutting! |

Well that was not that bad....
A little clean up with a diamond file and all looks good. (to bad I dont have a digi cam). Time now 21:49:32 |

All parts polished as per the pic's...
22:20:47 looks pretty good, will rub in a little oil and take a break before I have to put this stuff back into the receiver. |

Well....
Done 23:35:51 Im glad this is not in Boot Camp, this time is really bad, but all looks good and I can feel the grit in the pull is now gone, Now I guess I have to take this thing out in the morning and give it a few rounds. Thanks for the instructions linx...this made a pretty dull night into something productive. Next ...Fix the FSB... |

hehehehe...nice progress report!
Yes, that slapfix cleanup is nice, but to really appreciate the rifle try the RSA trigger group. |
