Hello all, I have an SKS Yugo 59/66. I am currently trying to get rid of all the unneeded garbage at the end of my barrel. At this time everything is off, my only problem is getting the front sight base to slide off. (Pins have been removed)  Once I get the front sight block off, I can Cut the threads off at the end of the barrel, and cut off some of the unneeded crap that belonged to the  attached grenade launcher. So, does anyone know any tricks that would make removing my front sight base a little easier.

I take it you have never shot an inert rifle grenade off your rifle, what a hoot!

Don't care too.  I like to keep it nice and simple. No sense in keeping added weight, if you can't really use it.
