I found a like new, 7.62X54R Russian Tiger, imported by B-West for $900. It has only had 50rds fired, and comes with all accessories, scope, manual etc... Is this price about right?

I dont know about the tigers, but their AK recievers had problems with not being heat treated

This is a B-West import, not a B-West built rifle. Milled receiver, made by the guys that know how to build'em. I also own a B-West built preban AK, and I like mine.

It was not the guns that B-WEST imported that were any problem, it was their own brand of US made AKM receivers that were soft (not heat treated). Their fully imported guns were just fine

Thanks, guys. I have to order the polymer stock set, bipod, and a few other goodies for it from Tantals.

I bought Templars for $1400, and felt like I got a deal.  $900 is pretty outstanding.  Jump on it!  Then find some russian furniture, and a bipod and you'll really be in business.

Corrosive ammo?

Corrosive ammo? As in, thats what was shot in it? I am not sure. The man said that it looked factory new, and that I got it for a steal. He said that it comes with a 500rd crate of ammo, and that the crate was still sealed. Anyone know the best available ammo to shoot thru it? I know that I should stay with light ball, but that's about it.

Because of the action, I try to only shoot non-corrosive in mine.  Wolf makes 147grain 54r ammo.
