...stock crossbolt, just forward of the mag?  i purchased a standard stock for my sks (came with ati folding stock originally) and i cannot put the receiver/barrel in the stock if the crossbolt is in place.  its about 1/2mm off.  thanks in advance.

Turn the crossbolt so the flat lines up with the notch on the receiver/barrel unit.  It will fit.  I had this problem once too. Took me some time playing with it to figure it out.

thanks for the advice,  i see what your talking about and i tried it but its still just slightly off.  i tried sanding down some of the areas where the receiver is hitting the wood and i made some progress but still cant get it installed.  oh well, i guess if its not needed then i will just leave it out.  thanks again.
