Picked up a Centerfire AMD-65 Kit at Knob Creek in October of last year.

Left it with Troy Sellars and told him whenever it came to the top of the job pile to slap it together for me.

He dug out a Maadi Receiver he had stashed away for years (got it from INTRAC) and asked if I was interested in using it......I TOLD HIM HELL YEAH!!! Turns out it was receiver number 00001.

Life is good.

Still need to pickup the FSE "Fake" Krinkov Side Folder from RPB USA.

In the meantime, I slapped a welded romanian folder on it for photos.

All original Hungarian bolt carrier.

Got the kit from Centerfire, bagged, and ready to go.

InRange used KG Teflon Moly coating. Finish is really nice. I will try and get photos of both of them together this weekend.

This might be a stupid question but 'Is that a milled or stamped receiver'? Just curious what that things weighs?

It's a stamped receiver. Maadi made in Egypt.

The bolt carrier was blasted and given a phosphate finish.

You can get the welded 922r compliant folding stocks from FAC for $22.95 (recent catalog).

Troy Sellars did the rear sight, but the photo did not turn out well.

Here are some photos I took during lunchtime today:

Nicely done.

Personally, AMDs don't float my boat, but those are very nicely fitted out.

Very nice! Do you know if he has anymore Maadi recievers available? I don't even care if it is serial 0002 :)

(edit)
I emailed Troy and he has no more available. Just thought I would pass along the info for the others that might want to know.
