Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Has anyone tried the Docter optic?

Is it any good?  Any particular sight better suited for the AK?  I will be using an ULTIMAK and wanted to know, generally, which sight most people prefer (eotech, aimpoint reflex, docter optic, etc),  I'm considering the docter optic because its the lightest and smallest.  Anyone care to share opinions?

I have the Docter Sight as a back-up/CQB optic attached to the side rail of an IOR 3x25 scope on my FAL.
It's a very nice little red dot but I wonder if it would be a little too small located so far away, in scout style?
Maybe the new Aimpoint Micro?

Do you want to be sure the irons can be seen thru the optic?

I've run a used Aimpoint up front, came cheap due to some scratches, which you do not notice far out and shooting both eyes open. Weighs about 7.5oz
