I have a Fiberforce poly set in route for it, but I figured what the heck, the butthole wood stock is not worth much anyhow, might as well tinker with it. It's actually quite comfortable and still quite strong (whacked it against the 100 lb heavy bag a few times).
Anyhow, an idea maybe for those who don't want to swap out stocks on theirs. Edited for bigger pic.  |

I like what you did to it a lot better than the Fiberforce stock.

Thanks guys, I'm going to throw the Fiberforce set on and see the difference. I got the rifle pretty cheap, and it's unfired, so I want to play with it a little bit before I decide. It is a slant-cut receiver, so the other real option for me is the Ironwood set, which I might get just so it can be pitol grip config. Haven't decided yet, though. I figure, if I pick up another slant-cut in the future, I have options.

I just shook my head and clocked the link to see what stipud thing someone had done now......But thats actually really cool. I like that stock alot. That hole kinda resembles a black widow hourglass. Good job man!

That actually looks pretty cool. You should refinish the wood and leave it on there. Those fiberforce stocks look terrible IMHO.

I'm ordering an Ironwood stock set for it for pistolgrip config. I figure so far the furniture thing has cost me nothing but a little time.
Ironwood set = $90.00 plus finishing time Replacement FCG for compliance = $30.00 plus some time (The ironwood set and FCG swap will happen later) |
