Am I seeing it correctly that those are $1.40 per round?

You could probably handload some pretty nice loads for that kind of money...Midway sells 7.62 x 39 brass.

Dr Robers tested this round 2 years ago.

It failed.

I have fired many rounds of this selection from Ga Arms in .223, .30-06, and a recently a few in .308 & 7.62x39. Accuracy seems better than Wolf or Barnual in the 7.62x39, but I did not do any kind of expansion tests. Word is it doesn't have enough velocity to reliably make the ballistic tip bullet expand. Ballistic tips are great, but they are designed as a high velocity varmint bullet. 2300 fps probably just doesn't cut it from a 7.62x39.

Greetings.
I researched that a while back.  A hunter tried it on a deer.  I can't recall if it passed all the way through, but I do remember that the bullet didn't fragment or expand.

It better be good for that price. I got some soft nose steel case stuff that's probably just as good in the real world. That is if you're hunting deer and have a law that says that ammo must be soft or ballistic tip.

The bullet there using are Nosler 125 Gr. BT's there also .308 dia.  I'm suspect as to how  accurately these will shoot since the bore .dia of the SKS or AK is commonly .310 or .311.

The Minimum Impact Velocity is 1600 fps to be affective with this bullet,so you would want to limit your shots to 100 Yds if your using it on game.  Personally I would rather go with the Hornady V-Max 123 Gr. .310 dia. bullet that Graf has Hornady make exclusively for them.  There about $17 a box per 100 bullets if you want to load your own stuff or they have some preloaded ammo.
