Went by a shop I had not visited in a while.  Owner had some of his personal ammo stash and some on consignment sitting on the floor for sale.  One case was 2100rds. of Russian 5.45 for $210 but there was no marking on the case about bullet weight and style.  They cut the band on it and it was in red & yellow boxes marked Barnaul 59gr FMJ.  Got that one.  Also had a 1400rd case marked South African 7.62x39 brass case, lead core, non-corr., made to US Mil Spec (?) for $165.  Inside were 7 clear plastic packs of 8 boxes each, boxes had no markings whatsoever.  Got that one also; and since I got both there was no tax.  Is the red & yellow  boxed Barnaul the same as that in the Marlboro-Man box and is the SA 7.62 good stuff?

Week before last I hit the place again and guess what....had another 1400 rd. case of South African sitting out, same price of $165.  Only had a partial case of the same Barnaul red/yellow boxed 5.45 FMJ and it was a little higher than the full case, 1260 rds for $135.  This was the last of it but I'm good on both these calibers for now.
