I love my bulgy mags and I love all my forgein guns... but damn !

Prices just slowly keep creeping on up.... I know all the factors involved, but
it is starting to look like we need to buy American because imported stuff, even Chinese,
is starting to get expensive.

Maybe K-Var / Arsenal will start making mags here so we wont have to add that importation $$ garbage
that goes along with it...

I bought those same mags EXACTLY 1 month ago, August 22nd and they were 16.99, they have went
up 1 buck in 1 month... I know they were flown in, but dang.

Looks like I will eventually take to the surplus only market.... but those waffles make me so hungry

Templar, do you think that the price increases will ever "level" out ?  Or is the price increases due to
fuel surcharges ?  Plus the fact that plastic / polymer is made from petroleum...

I think it's supply and demand.  The popularity of Bulgy Waffles has gone through the roof.  If everybody make K-Var sit on them for a while, price would go back down to $13.99 or $14.99.

But since people keep paying more and more for them, up they go.

In the EE, Bulgy Waffles went for an average of $13.50-$15.00 each a while back.  Now I see people paying $15.00 to $17.50 each for them.
No fuel involved, just supply and demand.

Try telling the Dark Ones to let K-var sit on those mags for about 2 weeks.... Aint gonna happen !

Everybody will crack and buy several mags... We will all get the same idea that 1 or 2 wont hurt... then BAM
K-var is out of stock again... then they come back 1 month later with a price increase

Kinda like these oil bastards... Gas shouldn't be ~3+ bucks a gallon, but no one will just stop buying gas for a week
to make them lower prices.

We all think alike is the problem...

So I guess I will have to get some more waffles myself  [sigh]

Work giveth, K-var taketh away

It doesn't look like they are limiting us to 4 per person again.

What's the lure of Bulgy waffle mags?

I mean I bought one last year at a gunshow for ~$20 when going price was closer to $10 - $12. But I just don't see the appeal everybody else seems to have. Other than their basically rust proof.

Help a brother out!

Same here.

If the Sportsman Guide sent in a few more loads of "10 mags for $30" the price of everything else would plummet.

I bought 105 of these back about two years ago when K-Var was apparently in a little price war with AIM Surplus' Polish plastics. All of mine with discounts were about $9.50-$10 each. No regrets, I knew such a price couldn't last. I am now thinking about dumping my 6 NIW Imbel recievers, (with consecutive serial #'s), for a "little" higher than the $179 each that I paid for them, though. Damn addictive AK's!!

I paid $11 for mine before the ban ended. This is not logical.

It was perfectly legal to import mags made before 1994 during the ban, and I'm sure Arsenal had plenty of them that were "made" before then to keep up with the demand.

Now fuel prices, shipping prices, air shipment only, military contracts are all affecting prices of waffles for us.
