In the AK-pic challenge thread there was a pic of a 410 saiga, with the poster saying that the 410 saiga was popular among Security forces.

Here we use 410's for snakes....in Russia they use them for self-defense? Fill me in.

I would imagin slugs would be a big hit. they have very little penetration in flesh, etc.

high velocity light blullets with lots of surface area. no worry about going through your target and killing a little old lady in the next apartment.

I owned a .410 Saiga once.

The dealer failed to mention that it was .410 3" magnum. No manual came with the shotgun so I purchased some Wally World 2.75 Remington (I believe). The thing wouldn't run, then I was advised by a friend that the shotgun was a 3" MAG.

Great just great, now I have to buy the expensive stuff (as if .410 isn't expensive to begin with). Running the 3" mag ammo she ran like a trooper.

However I sold her at a fun show as I felt the fun factor vs ammo cost did not equate.

In retrospect I wish I would have kept her. Neat gun
